It is one of the most remote and authentic islands in the Dodecanese. It is famous for the revolution in 1824. Also, the port is called Fry and is the main town of the island.
The port is located in the village of Fry (pronounced 'free' and also spelled Fru) which is the island's capital. It is situated on the northwest of the island.
There is also a bus that does frequent routes to the villages of Kasos. Taxis are available as well.
