Corfu beach
In the summer there are about 15 ferry crossings daily from Corfu while in the winter there is a limited range of sailings to Piraeus and nearby islands.

On this page you'll find all the information you need to plan and book a ferry to Corfu, but for the latest prices and sailings please use our booking form above.

Corfu is connected by ferry to ports in Italy and Igoumenitsa on the Greek mainland (Brindisi, Ancona, Bari, Venice, Saranda, Paxi, Kefalonia, Zante and other islands).

It's served by six ferry companies and the most popular route is Igoumenitsa to Corfu. The port of the island is located in the capital Kerkyra, about 3 km from the old town.

Corfu is one of the special islands in Greece since you do not easily find an island with dense vegetation and a rich past.

Corfu port facilities

There are two ports in Corfu. The main one includes some cafes and is a 10 minute walk from the centre of Corfu where you will find many cafes, restaurants etc. The second is the port of Lefkimmi, which is used mainly for cruise ships.

There is also a car park in new port.

In the summer months the port can become quite chaotic with long queues for cars. So please arrive at least one hour in advance if travelling by car. For more information about Corfu, you can visit Wikipedia.

Getting to and from the port

By car

The port is easy to reach by road and well signposted. You should have no problem finding it.

By Taxi

You can normally find taxis either inside the port by the water or directly outside the port on the main road. If not, the road outside the port is busy and it's likely you will find a taxi there. In the evening, available taxis will have their light on. It's a good idea to get an estimation of your fare before you leave as some taxi drivers may not use a meter. This is against the law but common practice. The cost from the port town should be about 15 Euros.

By Bus

There are four bus lines that connect the port with the city and the airport. There are frequent busses throughout the year which increase in the summer. You have to buy your ticket before boarding and you should either be able to find a kiosk or vending machine. At the port there is a cafe-shop near the entrance that sells tickets. The bus stop to go into town is located on the other side of the road.
on foot

On Foot

The center of Corfu is about 2.5 km away, however you can reach it on foot in half an hour. You can just walk along the harbor beach until you reach the city center.
