In the port area, you can find ticket offices, bars, restaurants, a left-luggage office, and a shuttle bus service for internal port transfer. There is also a shopping center, ATMs and pharmacies.

Getting to and from the port

By car
If you are travelling in a car, exit the ring road at Via Marina and continue on the same street. A few minutes later you find yourself in front of the Maschio Angioino. On the right is the entrance to the port of Naples.

  By Bus
If your starting point is the city center, you can use the buses nr. 152, 140 and 254, which will take you a few steps from Piazza del Plebiscito. If you come from Flegrei area, you can take the buses C18 and R7 to Piazza Municipio, right after the tunnel. Another option is the subway: Line 2 allows you to get off at the stop of Mergellina. To board any means of transport, you must have the “Biglietto Unico Napoli“ ticket, sold at the bars, newsstands or tobacco shops.

“Campania Express” tourist train is starting on 5th June and runs every day. The trip from Naples to Sorrento is 50 minutes, with 8 departures on air-conditioned tourist trains with reserved seats. The direct trains will carry out passenger services in Naples Porta Nolana, Naples Garibaldi, Ercolano Scavi, Pompei Scavi (Villa Misteri), Vico Equense, Meta, Piano, Sant’ Agnello and Sorrento.

        By Taxi
From Capodichino Naples Airport, you can go to the port by taxi. In this case, it is advisable to book an authorized taxi with a fixed rate to the port, so there are no unpleasant surprises at the end of the ride.
On Foot
Τhe port is located in a great place for walking to see the sights. This is a walk of contrasts: new and very old, rich and poor, beautiful and scruffy, and all interesting.
