Taking the fast ferry to the Maasvlakte is the cheapest way to explore the port of Rotterdam.

Hook of Holland port facilities

A cafeteria inside the terminal building is open for day sailing departures. There are also vending machines selling hot drinks and confectionery. Disabled toilets are available at the ferry port terminal. Disabled assistance is also available upon request.

Long and short-term parking is available next to the terminal building and payment can be made at the pay stations by credit card.

Getting to and from the port

By car

From Rotterdam follow the A20/N20 motorway. From the Hague follow the E19/E30. When you have arrived in Hook of Holland follow the signs for "Ferry to Harwich".

By Bus

By Train

The Hoek van Holland Haven railway station connects directly to Rotterdam Central and The Hague daily. The town has also been connected to the Rotterdam metro network since 2019. The last metro leaves Hoek van Holland Haven to Schiedam and Rotterdam at 01:00.

By Taxi

If you would like to take a taxi from the port, go to the information desk in the terminal where they will be happy to book one for you.

On Foot

This is a small town so it is possible to visit all the places you want to see on foot.
