Fishguard is located in Wales and is connected by ferry to and from Rosslare port in Ireland.

Currently only Stena Line operates ferries to and from Fishguard. In the summer season, there are a total of 14 sailings per week.

The distance from Fishguard to Rosslare is 102 kilometres. That's about 63 miles or about 55 nautical miles.

Fishguard Port is situated 1 mile northwest of Fishguard town centre. Fishguard is located in southwest Wales and is reached via the M4 and A40 from the east or the A497 from the north. There are 2 daily ferry crossings to Rosslare all year round on the Stena Nordica. The port is a medium sized port and is generally moderately busy throughout the whole year.

Ferries to Fishguard are normally available throughout the year but there are fewer sailings in the winter. Fishguard is served only by conventional ferries.

Fishguard port facilities

The port operates Monday–Sunday: 10:30–16:00 & 22:30–02:30 and there are toilets, baby changing facilities, a passenger lounge, a coffee shop, vending machines, free Wi-Fi, disability assistance, free short-term car park, long-term car park (payable), car rental desk, pay phones, disabled toilets, kids play area, restaurant, and a lost property office available.

Getting to and from the port

By car

There is a Long Term Car Park with around 60 spaces located 150 metres from the main terminal building and a Short Term Car Park directly opposite with several large spaces for disabled badge holders.

By Bus

Richards Bros. operates a town service with bus stops at Fishguard town centre and Goodwick arriving at the port for the afternoon sailing. Journey time is approximately 8 minutes from Fishguard.

By Taxi

Local taxis are available upon request at the terminal. The taxis cover areas throughout the town, surrounding areas and further afield.

By Train

Arriva Trains Wales services Fishguard Harbour and has special trains to connect with the arrival and departure of the Stena Nordica ferry. For up-to-date information regarding train times to/from Fishguard for travel throughout the UK please visit the National Rail website.
