Covid 19 instructions: Ferry travel in Greece with regards to Coronavirus

In Greece: From islands to the mainland (e.g. Santorini to Piraeus) and between islands in different prefectures

You need to have one of the following documents:

  • A vaccination certificate (at least 14 days after your final vaccination injection).
  • A recovery certificate (up to 180 days)
  • A negative result from PCR (last 72h) or Rapid test (last 48h) for passengers under 12 years old.

Minors from 5 to 11 years old can also travel with a negative result of a self-test up to 24 hours before the scheduled travel time. The self-test statement is issued through self test result platform.

All passengers must also complete a health declaration form for all parts of their trip: which you can do easily online.

In Greece: From island to island within the same prefecture (e.g. Cyclades: Santorini to Naxos)

You need to have one of the following documents:

  • A vaccination certificate (at least 14 days after your final vaccination injection).
  • A recovery certificate (up to 180 days)
  • A negative result from PCR (last 72h) or Rapid test (last 48h) for passengers under 12 years old.

Minors from 5 to 11 years old can also travel with a negative result of a self-test up to 24 hours before the scheduled travel time. The self-test statement is issued through self test result platform.

In Greece: From the mainland (e.g. Piraeus, Lavrio etc.) to the islands and vice-versa

  • A negative result from PCR (last 72h) or Rapid test (last 48h) for passengers under 12 years old.

To Greece from Italy

Adults

  • You need to wear a mask at all times.

  • You need fill in the online passenger locator form at least 24h before arrival in Greece here: travel.gov.gr.

  • If you haven't had Covid:
    You need a vaccination certificate, or a negative result (PCR Test in the last 72hrs, or, a Rapid Test in the last 24hrs) before entering Greece.

  • If you have had Covid:
    You need an official confirmation from your doctor (or a public authority or laboratory), if you recovered from 2 months after the illness and up to 9 months before your trip.

Children
  • Those between 12-17 need a negative result of a self test while children under 12 years old can travel freely.

All passengers must also complete a health declaration form for all parts of their trip: which you can do easily online. As well as the Italian counterpart which is now also online.

To Italy from Greece

Adults
