ANEM Ferries was founded in 1986 and has its headquarters in Kos. ANEM is an abbreviation consisting of the first letters of the Greek words for Anonymous Shipping Company of Mastichari. The company has been serving travelers between Kalymnos and Mastichari (Kos) since 1990, facilitating the connection between those stunning destinations in the Dodecanese islands.

The second ferry the company has built and acquired in 2023, "Olympios Ermis", will soon start her routes to the island of Pserimos.
